Reynaldo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reginaldo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Velloso in the 26th minute of play. Léo Garden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armandinho Marques in the 40th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Velloso was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Real Alvinegro FC's Hamílton de Moraes got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Reginaldo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
