The RS Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel Neuer should have stopped the shot. Anestis Protopsaltis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Reginaldo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomé Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Real Alvinegro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Protopsaltis came free, but Reginaldo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Neuer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lúcio Novaes. Reginaldo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Silva in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match Fabricio Raymond shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reginaldo Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Vinícius Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Alvinegro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RS Futebol Clube the free kick. Real Alvinegro FC's Reginaldo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Protopsaltis in the 33rd minute of play. Ragıp Buyruk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reginaldo Amaral having to make a save. In the 37thth minute of the game Anestis Protopsaltis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Alvinegro FC's Reginaldo Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 minutes, Anestis Protopsaltis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Alvinegro FC's Reginaldo Amaral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner ended in Celso Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Alvinegro FC's Reginaldo Amaral did a great save.
