In the 10th minute of the match Nilmar Cavalcante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton de Sousa skillfully saved the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Munhoz came free, but Hílton de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Salomone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, S.E PALMEIRAS's Cícero Messias got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Willian Zanette dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráusio Munhoz in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton de Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luciano Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Luciano Senna seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luciano Senna the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ubiratan Esporte Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luciano Senna had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 40 minutes into the game, one of Ubiratan Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave S.E PALMEIRAS a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nilmar Cavalcante, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Hílton de Sousa. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dráusio Munhoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Claudinei da Silva got a free kick in the 50th minute. Dráusio Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Hílton de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E PALMEIRAS. Gilberto Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Massa having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Gilberto Salomone notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of S.E PALMEIRAS's Richard Massa. Richard Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 58 minutes into the match, S.E PALMEIRAS's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Zanette came free, but Richard Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cícero Messias during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ubiratan Esporte Clube booed when S.E PALMEIRAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betinho Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Massa having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in S.E PALMEIRAS's zone, Willian Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Massa came out of the goal and Willian Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gilberto Salomone came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ubiratan Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Salomone couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Hílton de Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto da Cunha. Sílvio Luís Santana hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gilberto Salomone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ubiratan Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Salomone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 minutes, Gilberto Salomone made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. S.E PALMEIRAS's Richard Massa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ubiratan Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
