If Ciro Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Marucupari's Ciro Netto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guga Lira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Ciro Netto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Guga Lira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jânio Baiano to strike the kick off in the second half. Anacleto Abalos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Jacuarana's Alessandro Perez shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Ciro Netto sped through Jacuarana's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guga Lira. Anacleto Abalos made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Alberto Pontes sent off a good shot on target. Marucupari's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
