Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giovanni Damião started the match with the kick off. When Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Giovanni Damião in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E PALMEIRAS's goalie prevented a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Hílton de Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto da Cunha. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Schmidt during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ubiratan Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Severino Schmidt hit a great ball. After 20 minutes Ubiratan Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nilmar Cavalcante who took care of the corner kick. Juvenal Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Richard Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hílton de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ediberto da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E PALMEIRAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ediberto da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giovanni Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Massa came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Felippe Zanette. But to his dismay, Felippe Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráusio Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. Ediberto da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hílton de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Giovanni Damião came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ubiratan Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovanni Damião couldn't finish the play. Richard Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Prado in the 55th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Ubiratan Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Prado. After 61 minutes of play, Ubiratan Esporte Clube's Giovanni Damião made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Claudinei da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ubiratan Esporte Clube's protests and gave Claudinei da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Tarcisio de Mendonça's late challenge caught a S.E PALMEIRAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarcisio de Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S.E PALMEIRAS booed when Ubiratan Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ubiratan Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Claudinei da Silva hit a great ball. Hílton de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A hard shot 72 in the game by Giovanni Damião from a close distance when the talented Richard Massa managed to make a qualified save. S.E PALMEIRAS's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Sá in the 75th minute of play forced Ubiratan Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Hílton de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Salomone in the 77th minute of play. Juvenal Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felippe Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Massa having to interfere. Betinho Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Messias in the 92nd minute of play forced Ubiratan Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Hílton de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juvenal Prado went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.
