After 4 played minutes FENÔMENO FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas da Fonseca. Luís Gustavo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Ribeiro having to interfere. After 9 minutes of play, Fluviopolis's Wilton Fonseca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo Munhoz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamim de Salles's late challenge caught a FENÔMENO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamim de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. Benjamim de Salles hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Wilton Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Munhoz having to interfere. After 17th play minutes Anderson Salles shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Zé Paulo Munhoz and just under the crossbar into goal. When Benjamim de Salles was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Fluviopolis's Benjamim de Salles got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Mazinho Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FENÔMENO FC booed when Fluviopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. César de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Gustavo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Mazinho Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fluviopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luís Gustavo Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the FENÔMENO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Ramos couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Cacá Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Wilton Fonseca made a precise shot to the right of Zé Paulo Munhoz. FENÔMENO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Mazinho Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zé Paulo Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cacá Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilton Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Gustavo Ramos scored 1-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dedé Ribeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cacá Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Umberto Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilton Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, José Pedro dos Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FENÔMENO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fluviopolis the free kick. 66 minutes into the game, one of FENÔMENO FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wilton Fonseca took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Paulo Munhoz. Zé Paulo Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Wilton Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fluviopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Paulo Munhoz came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fluviopolis's Umberto Gerber. But to his dismay, Umberto Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Umberto Gerber might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Munhoz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Umberto Gerber ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, FENÔMENO FC's Zé Paulo Munhoz got control of the ball when Wilton Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mazinho Jacinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Paulo Munhoz having to make a save. In the 92nd match minute, FENÔMENO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Wilton Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Zé Paulo Munhoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Fluviopolis could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FENÔMENO FC throughout the match.
