But to his dismay, Gualter Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, Fluviopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Paiva came free, but Dedé Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedé Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cido Terra went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilton Fonseca got free with Ricardo Mandrak in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. Wilton Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dedé Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cido Terra sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mazinho Jacinto during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mazinho Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Fluviopolis lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
