In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alieninjas's goalkeeper Rodolfo Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giuseppe Xavier hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Chiquinho Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Cléber Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alieninjas's Rodolfo Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Monteiro in the 19th minute of play. Rodolfo Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Cléber Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alieninjas's Rodolfo Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Barral in the 24th minute of play. RWD Molenbeek's Giovanni Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Pedro da Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Matos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Pedro da Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Alieninjas booed when RWD Molenbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Umberto Travassos made a precise shot to the right of Chiquinho Lopes. RWD Molenbeek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Chiquinho Lopes made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Umberto Travassos sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Umberto Travassos got free with Chiquinho Lopes in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Umberto Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Alieninjas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Travassos couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the RWD Molenbeek defense, Cléber Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chiquinho Lopes. The RWD Molenbeek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chiquinho Lopes should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Carlos Eduardo Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Umberto Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Alieninjas's goalkeeper Rodolfo Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Eduardo Monteiro. If João Pedro da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RWD Molenbeek's Carlos Eduardo Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as RWD Molenbeek's Celsinho Barral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodolfo Matos. That made the score 2-1 after 79 minutes of play. In the 82nd minute, Silvério Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carlos Eduardo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when Alieninjas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. RWD Molenbeek's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
