He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CARDINEL reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raúl Neiva in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Munhoz saved FENÔMENO FC from getting behind. Zé Paulo Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, FENÔMENO FC's Lucas da Fonseca got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tomás Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. CARDINEL's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Munhoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reinaldo Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Zé Paulo Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Munhoz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Lago went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. João Paulo Santana's late challenge caught a CARDINEL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Paulo Santana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, João Paulo Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinaldo Pitta hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Adelino Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Gustavo Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Zé Paulo Munhoz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. CARDINEL's Raúl Neiva suffered a fractured collar bone after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of CARDINEL booed when FENÔMENO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Lago's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Zé Paulo Munhoz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Alagoano in the 64th minute of play forced FENÔMENO FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FENÔMENO FC's Zé Paulo Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Alagoano in the 66th minute of play. Tomás Lago hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FENÔMENO FC's Cacá Abraão got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 70 played minutes FENÔMENO FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Ramos. After 77 minutes of play, CARDINEL's Tomás Lago made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo Munhoz was left in no man's land by his defense there! FENÔMENO FC's Zé Paulo Munhoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FENÔMENO FC from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the match, FENÔMENO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Gustavo Abraão came free, but Zé Paulo Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas da Fonseca in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Luís Gustavo Abraão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CARDINEL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6.
