Spectators: 7505 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anderson Salles started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Fluviopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fluviopolis booed when FENÔMENO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazinho Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Munhoz having to interfere. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FENÔMENO FC! The goalkeeper, Zé Paulo Munhoz, was totally fooled by Fluviopolis's Mazinho Jacinto, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a little luck, FENÔMENO FC's Zé Paulo Munhoz got control of the ball when Wilton Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cacá Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Dedé Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fluviopolis's zone, Luís Gustavo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedé Ribeiro came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anderson Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Munhoz made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Wilton Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Paulo Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Zé Paulo Munhoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anderson Salles's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Luís Gustavo Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FENÔMENO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Gustavo Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Mazinho Jacinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Munhoz. FENÔMENO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mazinho Jacinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dedé Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by FENÔMENO FC's Luís Gustavo Ramos. But to his dismay, Luís Gustavo Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Gustavo Ramos made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Wilton Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fluviopolis and the FENÔMENO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fluviopolis's Wilton Fonseca got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Salles in the 57th minute of play forced FENÔMENO FC's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes of play, Fluviopolis's Wilton Fonseca made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo Munhoz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, FENÔMENO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Jacinto came free, but Zé Paulo Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedé Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Gustavo Ramos in the 72nd minute. Fluviopolis's Dedé Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Fluviopolis from getting a goal against them. Cauan de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cacá Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Ribeiro having to interfere. A collision led to FENÔMENO FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Adilson de Carvalho hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, FENÔMENO FC's goal looked a bit too open when César de Queiroz came free, but Zé Paulo Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FENÔMENO FC's João Paulo Santana got a free kick in the 86th minute. Zé Paulo Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Gerber in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas da Fonseca in the 92nd minute of play forced Fluviopolis's goalkeeper Dedé Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fluviopolis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
