Diego Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Paiva in the 20th minute of the match. Dedé Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Tasso in the 26th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Dedé Guimarães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mangue SC's Edgar Tasso quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edmílson Matos, made in the 41st minute of the game. Chicão de Souza succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chicão de Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Recife got free with Diego Mattos in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mangue SC's attentive Edgar Tasso managed to snatch the ball when Alfredo Tasso made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Edmílson Matos made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Chicão de Souza however managed to control. In the 57th minute, Chicão de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Dedé Guimarães. Mangue SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 61 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mangue SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argenita FC the free kick. Arnaldo Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Dedé Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
