The referee ignored Brazabrantes's protests and gave Matheus Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. Matheus Marquez hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Brazabrantes's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Valladares came free, but Enrique Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Brazabrantes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fluminense FC throughout the match.
