When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Armandinho Loureiro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ernesto Rossi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armandinho Loureiro in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Rossi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafa Vidal went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Armandinho Loureiro took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Rossi. Ernesto Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Loureiro in the 20th minute of play forced Fluminense FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Loureiro in the 22nd minute of play. When 50 Tons de Idade's Armandinho Loureiro in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armandinho Loureiro made a kick off. Betão Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Armandinho Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. When Rodriguinho Neto came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the 50 Tons de Idade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Neto couldn't finish the play. Armandinho Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armandinho Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Fluminense FC's Ernesto Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Fluminense FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Fluminense FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jefferson Quadros hit a great ball. Davi Schmidt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernesto Rossi. Fluminense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ernesto Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armandinho Loureiro in the 69th minute. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Armandinho Loureiro put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Ernesto Rossi. Chico Oliveira hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. A hard shot 85 in the game by Armandinho Loureiro from a close distance when the talented Ernesto Rossi managed to make a qualified save. Fluminense FC's players were relieved. Ernesto Rossi came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by 50 Tons de Idade's Adelino Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Adelino Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. With a little luck, Fluminense FC's Ernesto Rossi got control of the ball when Armandinho Loureiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 50 Tons de Idade's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
