Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tony de Salles took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Palmeira in the 4th minute of play forced Brazabrantes's goalkeeper Enrique Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute, João Pedro Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Enrique Pontes came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Maraja's João Pedro Palmeira. But to his dismay, João Pedro Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Enrique Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Vasconcelos in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maraja's Wilson Coelho got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Brazabrantes's zone, Tony de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Pontes came out of the goal and Tony de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brazabrantes's Enrique Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Vergílio in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Betão Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, João Pedro Palmeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Enrique Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Maraja booed when Brazabrantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Albertinho Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maraja's protests and gave Albertinho Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Maraja getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Albertinho Vasconcelos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Travassos in the 47th minute of play forced Maraja's goalkeeper Filipe Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastião Travassos was the one to do the kick off. Sebastião Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Betão Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maraja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Vergílio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Brazabrantes defense, Betão Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Pontes. The Brazabrantes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Pontes should have stopped the shot. After 57 minutes, João Pedro Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maraja and the Brazabrantes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastião Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Brazabrantes booed when Maraja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Travassos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Netto having to make a save. Sérgio Lima's late challenge caught a Maraja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Sérgio Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Tony de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Pontes having to interfere. If Sebastião Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Pontes came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Maraja's João Pedro Palmeira. But to his dismay, João Pedro Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 84 minutes into the match, Maraja's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Travassos came free, but Filipe Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Netto having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Conrado Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brazabrantes's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brazabrantes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maraja.
