Enrique Pontes came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Creciuna AD's Arnaldo Ortiz. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Creciuna AD's Fernandão Vergílio got control of the ball when Sérgio Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Pedro Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernandão Vergílio having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sydney de Mendonça during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Brazabrantes getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sydney de Mendonça hit a great ball. Enrique Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Ortiz in the 32nd minute of the match. Zé Pedro Leão's late challenge caught a Creciuna AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fernandão Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Pontes was a little too slow when Pedro Augusto Leal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-2. Although Brazabrantes had been in control for most of the match, Creciuna AD still came away with the win.
