Fernandinho Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Siqueira in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Pena during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leão 1918's Virgílio Pena got a free kick in the 22nd minute. CRF Russe's William Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28thth minute of the game William Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leão 1918's Fernandinho Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Acácio Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Leão 1918 got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Guimarães. In the 39th minute, William Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Fernandinho Barbosa. Leão 1918's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Cordeiro in the 42nd minute of play forced Leão 1918's goalkeeper Fernandinho Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Guimarães to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Geovani Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 55th minute, William Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Fernandinho Barbosa. Leão 1918's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Brasil in the 58th minute of play forced Leão 1918's goalkeeper Fernandinho Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of CRF Russe booed when Leão 1918 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Leão 1918 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Rafinha Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelinho Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Geovani Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marcelinho Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Leão 1918 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Toscano couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, William Cordeiro put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Fernandinho Barbosa. In the 86thth minute of the game William Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leão 1918's Fernandinho Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Beto de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute of the match Fred Cabral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Romero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 90 minutes, Acácio Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CRF Russe and the Leão 1918 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Acácio Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, CRF Russe's William Cordeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. When the match was over CRF Russe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leão 1918 throughout the match.
