Aloísio Linares started the match with the kick off. With his leg Valdo de Lara managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Guabiraba SC's Abelardo Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aloísio Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo de Lara having to interfere. Valdo de Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aloísio Linares went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Claudinei Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leandro Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes of play, Heliópolis FC's Claudinei Dantas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Heliópolis FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Fred Fontes hit a great ball. Aloísio Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Claudinei Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Queirós was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Guabiraba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Trancoso came free, but Leandro Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Dantas in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudinei Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Dantas took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Queirós. Leandro Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Linares in the 47th minute of play forced Heliópolis FC's goalkeeper Valdo de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinei Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Guabiraba SC's Leandro Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Guabiraba SC from getting a goal against them. Claudinei Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Queirós having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Guabiraba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 55 minutes, Claudinei Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heliópolis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudinei Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Queirós having to interfere. Leandro Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei Trancoso's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heliópolis FC's goalkeeper Valdo de Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claudinei Trancoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Queirós having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Heliópolis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Queirós came free, but Valdo de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Guabiraba SC's Leandro Queirós got control of the ball when Claudinei Dantas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudinei Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Leandro Queirós successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 88 minutes into the match, Heliópolis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Linares came free, but Valdo de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Leandro Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Leandro Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heliópolis FC. When the final whistle sounded Heliópolis FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guabiraba SC.
