Lucas Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Michel Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guabiraba SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Michel Chaves scored to the left of an out of position Leandro Queirós, making the score, 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Natanael Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Kiko Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guabiraba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Chaves got free with Leandro Queirós in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Guabiraba SC defense, Michel Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Queirós. The Guabiraba SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Queirós should have stopped the shot. Lucas Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Michel Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Leandro Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silvinho Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Michel Chaves sped through Guabiraba SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leandro Queirós. After some careless play in the Guabiraba SC defense, Michel Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Queirós. The Guabiraba SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Queirós should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aloísio Linares made a kick off. A collision led to Guabiraba SC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Abelardo Queirós hit a great ball. Leandro Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Chaves in the 57th minute of play. Real Cajazeiras's Paulão Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Michel Chaves notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Guabiraba SC's Leandro Queirós. Leandro Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Michel Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Real Cajazeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Chaves couldn't finish the play. Real Cajazeiras's Dráuzio Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Guabiraba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Michel Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Queirós having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Leandro Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Chaves in the 77th minute of the match. Michel Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Luiz Fábio Sousa in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Cajazeiras's Ian Saldanha. Leandro Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Leandro Queirós came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Cajazeiras's Natanael Lira. But to his dismay, Natanael Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Leandro Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Chaves in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Aloísio Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Cajazeiras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
