Tiaguinho Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Ceresso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Atlético Campoverdense booed when Malagutti Soccêr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeferson Vaz during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Luís Eduardo Ceresso took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tiaguinho Sena to make any attempt to save it. In the 42nd minute, Paulo Renato Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardinho Prado was the one to do the kick off. When Jeferson Vaz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. A collision led to Malagutti Soccêr getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jeferson Vaz hit a great ball. Alfredinho Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Luís Eduardo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Skafti Hermansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardinho Prado's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After 67 played minutes Atlético Campoverdense got a freekick which was hit by Jon Samuelsson. Waldir Netto hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jon Samuelsson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Tiaguinho Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Campoverdense. In the 79th minute Bernardinho Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Skafti Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Atlético Campoverdense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Malagutti Soccêr booed when Atlético Campoverdense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Samuelsson in the 88th minute of play forced Malagutti Soccêr's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
