The crowd rose to their feet as Nazareno EC's Felipe Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ian Paranaense. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Belmiro Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Paranaense having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Nazareno EC's Felipe Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ian Paranaense. Ian Paranaense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Felipe Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ian Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golden State Warriors's zone, Belmiro Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Paranaense came out of the goal and Belmiro Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Azevedo in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Nazareno EC booed when Golden State Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Golden State Warriors getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Bebeto Mattos hit a great ball. Nazareno EC's Felipe Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Golden State Warriors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Felipe Azevedo scored to the left of an out of position Ian Paranaense, making the score, 3-0. 46 minutes into the game, Edmundo Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nazareno EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden State Warriors the free kick. Edmundo Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bebeto Valladares hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Breno Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nazareno EC's Eduardo Capixaba suffered a sore thigh after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When André Luís Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golden State Warriors's protests and gave André Luís Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. Nazareno EC made a substitution. Hélio Mineiro replaced Eduardo Capixaba. After 58 played minutes Golden State Warriors got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Botelho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Azevedo in the 60th minute of play forced Golden State Warriors's goalkeeper Ian Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Nazareno EC's Felipe Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
