Atlético Campoverdense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CR Alanzinho the free kick. After 9 played minutes Atlético Campoverdense got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Brodel. After 13 minutes, Jon Samuelsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Campoverdense and the CR Alanzinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Jon Samuelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Jon Samuelsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Oséias Secco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in CR Alanzinho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Atlético Campoverdense a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ivo Trancoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CR Alanzinho's Oséias Secco. 0-2. The supporters of Atlético Campoverdense booed when CR Alanzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Eduardo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético Campoverdense's Luís Eduardo Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Jon Samuelsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oséias Secco. CR Alanzinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jon Samuelsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Jon Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Campoverdense's Guilherme Senna managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rubinho Sampaio in the 46 minute of the game.

Thanks to some nice moves Jon Samuelsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Oséias Secco however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Jon Samuelsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oséias Secco. That made the score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Albuquerque in the 61st minute of play forced Atlético Campoverdense's goalkeeper Skafti Hermansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, CR Alanzinho's goalkeeper Oséias Secco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jon Samuelsson. Skafti Hermansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Rossi in the 65th minute of play. If Luís Eduardo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, CR Alanzinho's Oséias Secco got control of the ball when Jon Samuelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute Toninho Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Skafti Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jon Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséias Secco having to interfere. Atlético Campoverdense's Skafti Hermansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Vieira in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, CR Alanzinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Arce to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Jon Samuelsson notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of CR Alanzinho's Oséias Secco. Oséias Secco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, CR Alanzinho's Silas Arce got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of CR Alanzinho booed when Atlético Campoverdense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Luiz Fábio Carioca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Skafti Hermansson skillfully saved the ball. Jon Samuelsson in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Oséias Secco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Atlético Campoverdense supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético Campoverdense would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
