In the 3rd match minute, Atlético Campoverdense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Senna to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Atlético Campoverdense getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Ceresso hit a great ball. When Jon Samuelsson came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Atlético Campoverdense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Samuelsson couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Cachoeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo Ceresso came free, but Wilian Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Atlético Campoverdense got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Senna. Luís Eduardo Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Furlan having to interfere. Jon Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilian Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Ceresso in the 35th minute of the match. Rogério Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Furlan having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Cachoeiras got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Varela. The supporters of Cachoeiras booed when Atlético Campoverdense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Samuelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorian Britto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Ceresso notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan. Wilian Furlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes in the game Glauco Luz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vinícius Berger. Skafti Hermansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Berger in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Jon Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jon Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Ceresso took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilian Furlan. Wilian Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 82nd minute Luís Eduardo Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Rogério Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Atlético Campoverdense's Jon Samuelsson, in the 86th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Campoverdense. Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Ceresso in the 88th minute of play. Skafti Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Luís Eduardo Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Campoverdense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Eduardo Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atlético Campoverdense fully deserved thier win.
