Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jon Samuelsson got the match started through his kick off. Jon Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Wilian Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Cachoeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo Ceresso came free, but Wilian Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Cachoeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Luz to maneuver through the defense. Skafti Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachoeiras's goalkeeper Wilian Furlan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrézinho Souto's late challenge caught a Cachoeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrézinho Souto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atlético Campoverdense getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Andrézinho Souto hit a great ball. Wilian Furlan came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Campoverdense's Luís Eduardo Ceresso. But to his dismay, Luís Eduardo Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorian Britto to make the kick off. Skafti Hermansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cachoeiras's zone, Luís Eduardo Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilian Furlan came out of the goal and Luís Eduardo Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Jon Samuelsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Wilian Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute, Atlético Campoverdense's Luís Eduardo Ceresso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. When Jon Samuelsson came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Atlético Campoverdense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Samuelsson couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute of the match, Luís Eduardo Ceresso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilian Furlan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Eduardo Ceresso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilian Furlan. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. Cachoeiras's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luís Eduardo Ceresso 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Cachoeiras's Wilian Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Ceresso in the 93rd minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Wilian Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Atlético Campoverdense could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cachoeiras throughout the match.
