Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dedê Medeiros took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Dedê Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazela AD's Armandinho Maciel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Robinho Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazela AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canhoba the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mazela AD's Robinho Novaes got a free kick in the 4th minute. Bernardinho Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Maciel having to interfere. Robinho Novaes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Armandinho Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Bernardinho Guerra succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Armandinho Maciel came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Canhoba's Dedê Medeiros. But to his dismay, Dedê Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Glauco Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Guilherme Cearense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Guilherme Cearense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Velloso in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mazela AD's goalkeeper Armandinho Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dedê Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Maciel having to interfere. In the 48th minute of the match, Elói Velloso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luiz Guilherme Cearense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Mazela AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Canhoba were winning 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Sampaio in the 68th minute of play forced Canhoba's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazela AD's Egídio Vieira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Guilherme Cearense in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
