The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Maicon Siqueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 10 minutes into the match, Monobloco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Medeiros came free, but Armando Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maicon Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maicon Siqueira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Monobloco FC's Maicon Siqueira got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 16 played minutes Monobloco FC got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Mangueira. In the 18th minute of the match Belmiro Rosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Pinheiro skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute Dedê Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Guerra in the 21st minute of play forced Monobloco FC's goalkeeper Armando Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Monobloco FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. João Carlos Maranhense hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Dedê Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Canhoba fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Canhoba's Dedê Medeiros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Rosa in the 31st minute of play forced Monobloco FC's goalkeeper Armando Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Dedê Medeiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canhoba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Monobloco FC's Armando Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Moraes in the 37th minute of play. Armando Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Didi do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Monobloco FC got a freekick which was hit by Tales Soeiro. It was beautiful to see Canhoba's Belmiro Rosa in action when he in the 45th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Medeiros in the 47th minute of play forced Monobloco FC's goalkeeper Armando Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maicon Siqueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Dantas during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Canhoba booed when Monobloco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monobloco FC's Armando Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Monobloco FC from getting a goal against them. At last the ball reached Emílio Moraes at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Monobloco FC. 0-3. Dedê Medeiros took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Pinheiro. Armando Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Armando Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Guerra in the 72nd minute of the match. Bernardinho Guerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Armando Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gino Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Belmiro Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Pinheiro was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Belmiro Rosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Belmiro Rosa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Dedê Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Armando Pinheiro made a huge save. Armando Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Belmiro Rosa sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Canhoba left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monobloco FC.
