Spectators: 7523 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro de Brito took the kick off in the first half of the match. G E Gálatas's Pedro de Brito was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Francisco Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, G E Gálatas's Josué Godoi got a free kick in the 17th minute. Pedro de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robinho Novaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Armandinho Maciel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Pedro de Brito sent off a good shot on target. After 31 minutes of play, G E Gálatas's Pedro de Brito made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armandinho Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristóvão Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Francisco Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Saraiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Maciel having to interfere. After 53 minutes of play, G E Gálatas's Luiz Fernando Quirino made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armandinho Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francisco Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Velloso went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro de Brito in the 64th minute of play forced Mazela AD's goalkeeper Armandinho Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, G E Gálatas's Josué Godoi got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of Mazela AD booed when G E Gálatas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, G E Gálatas's Luiz Fernando Quirino fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. If Pedro de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armandinho Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro de Brito in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mazela AD's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro de Brito came free, but Armandinho Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Robinho Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazela AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G E Gálatas the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Mazela AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Novaes to maneuver through the defense. G E Gálatas's Pedro de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Quirino in the 94th minute of play forced Mazela AD's goalkeeper Armandinho Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that G E Gálatas were the better team. G E Gálatas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
