Spectators: 7595 (Terracing: 5737, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gilberto Severo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro de Brito in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matías Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edinho Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute Edinho Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Loureiro came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by G E Gálatas's Luiz Fernando Quirino. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Quirino in the 14th minute of play forced Maxguaruja's goalkeeper Matías Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matías Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Britto in the 19th minute of the match. Matías Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinho Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Félix was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Adrianinho de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrianinho de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrianinho de Queiroz hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinho Mangueira in the 30th minute of play forced Maxguaruja's goalkeeper Matías Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Braga during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of G E Gálatas booed when Maxguaruja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matías Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinho Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Maxguaruja's Rodriguinho de Medeiros got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The Maxguaruja players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. G E Gálatas were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Pedro de Brito made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ismael Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fernando Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Loureiro having to interfere. After 55 played minutes G E Gálatas got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Vianna. After 58 played minutes G E Gálatas got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Britto. Matías Loureiro was a little too slow when Edinho Mangueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-3. The supporters of G E Gálatas booed when Maxguaruja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 69th minute, when G E Gálatas's Caio Zanette after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Matías Loureiro in Maxguaruja's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 78th minute, Rodriguinho de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute of the match, Pedro de Brito got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matías Loureiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Edinho Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. G E Gálatas's supporters rose to their feet, but Edinho Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Pedro de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Maxguaruja fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. G E Gálatas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
