Francisco Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Siqueira in the 3rd minute of the match. Pedro de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Armando Pinheiro made a huge save. Pedro de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Pinheiro having to interfere. The supporters of G E Gálatas booed when Monobloco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Monobloco FC's goalkeeper Armando Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murilo Vianna. 13 minutes into the match, G E Gálatas's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Cerezo came free, but Francisco Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Armando Pinheiro made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as G E Gálatas's Edinho Mangueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Pinheiro. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. A collision led to G E Gálatas getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Caio Zanette hit a great ball. After 23rd play minutes Maicon Siqueira shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Francisco Félix and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 32nd minute Luiz Fernando Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monobloco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Caio Zanette was slow to take the kick. During this time G E Gálatas's players had a chance to rest. The corner led G E Gálatas's Luiz Fernando Quirino to fire away a dangerous shot which Armando Pinheiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Monobloco FC's Armando Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Monobloco FC from getting a goal against them. Armando Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Quirino in the 44th minute of play. After 47 played minutes G E Gálatas got a freekick which was hit by Caio Zanette.

The wind increased when Maicon Siqueira made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Maicon Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Cerezo got free with Francisco Félix in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Monobloco FC's Armando Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Quirino in the 64th minute of play. Marcos Cerezo took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco Félix. Francisco Félix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Armando Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Marcos Cerezo charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Cerezo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Marcos Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iuri Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Monobloco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Quirino came free, but Armando Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Pedro de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Armando Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the game, Murillo Mangueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monobloco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G E Gálatas the free kick. Murillo Mangueira hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
