Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro de Brito took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Canhoba's Bernardinho Guerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco Félix. Francisco Félix yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Luiz Guilherme Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro de Brito in the 7th minute of play. Francisco Félix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Moraes in the 9th minute. Canhoba's Dedê Medeiros came free and shot a quick shot against goal 10 minutes in the game, fortunately Francisco Félix had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro de Brito in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Guilherme Cearense saved Canhoba from getting behind. Luiz Fernando Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro de Brito struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Luiz Guilherme Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G E Gálatas. Luiz Guilherme Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro de Brito in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of G E Gálatas booed when Canhoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canhoba's Luiz Guilherme Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Quirino in the 21st minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Guilherme Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Fernando Quirino went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute Luiz Fernando Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. G E Gálatas's Francisco Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save G E Gálatas from getting a goal against them. Canhoba's Luiz Guilherme Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro de Brito in the 41st minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Eduardo Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedê Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Luiz Fernando Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Canhoba got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Quirino. Edinho Mangueira hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Canhoba's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Cearense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro de Brito. Edinho Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Francisco Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dedê Medeiros went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Bernardinho Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Francisco Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Belmiro Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Vianna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Guilherme Cearense. Canhoba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Francisco Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. G E Gálatas's Francisco Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê Medeiros in the 91st minute of play. Canhoba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of G E Gálatas for a fine match.
