Enio Rezende came out of the goal and Mané Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the game, Vitinho Garcia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enio Rezende. Vitinho Garcia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Goiânia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Vander came free, but Romário Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Pedrinho de Queirós put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Romário Meira. Jamaica Roots's Enio Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica Roots from getting a goal against them. Jamaica Roots's Enio Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Maia in the 88th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Goiânia FC fully deserved thier win.
