With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrinho de Queirós in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio de Toledo saved Acara from getting behind. Laércio Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Jamaica Roots's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Joel de Almeida scored to the left of an out of position Enio Rezende, making the score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Víktor Damião during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Acara getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Víktor Damião hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Acara's zone, Pedrinho de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio de Toledo came out of the goal and Pedrinho de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrinho de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Víktor Damião was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Víktor Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Jamaica Roots's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sandrinho de Andrade 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Durval Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Laércio Pena charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laércio Pena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jamaica Roots's Laércio Pena got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Durval Sanches hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Acara defense, Pedrinho de Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio de Toledo. The Acara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio de Toledo should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Pedrinho de Queirós notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Acara's Júlio de Toledo. Júlio de Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrinho de Queirós made a kick off. Murillo de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Pedrinho de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Jamaica Roots fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrinho de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Luís Loureiro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Jamaica Roots defense, Umberto Falcão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enio Rezende. The Jamaica Roots fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enio Rezende should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute Umberto Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Acara booed when Jamaica Roots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho Dantas missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 74 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Enio Rezende right hand side. In the 76th minute, Sandrinho de Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Enio Rezende. Jamaica Roots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. The supporters of Acara booed when Jamaica Roots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acara's Umberto Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Enio Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Falcão in the 86th minute of play forced Jamaica Roots's goalkeeper Enio Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Acara getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sandrinho de Andrade hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes Jamaica Roots got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Neiva. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Pedrinho de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jamaica Roots's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Acara were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jamaica Roots for a fine match.
