Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel de Almeida to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Abelardo Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barra Funda B's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Arnaldo Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abelardo Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Barra Funda B fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Paraibano couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the match, Barra Funda B's goalkeeper Jonathan Recife had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Damião. A collision led to Barra Funda B getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Giuseppe Vale hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Acara got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Damião. Barra Funda B's Jonathan Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Barra Funda B from getting a goal against them. Giuseppe Vale hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The long shot by Murillo de Medeiros in the 84th minute really tested Jonathan Recife's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Barra Funda B's Giuseppe Vale got a free kick in the 85th minute. Acara's Umberto Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Umberto Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
