The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of CEI Rocha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GAVIÕES F.C:s goal. The referee gave GAVIÕES F.C a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Hermes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CEI Rocha's Vinícius Tróia. 0-1. Vinícius Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Hermes in the 10th minute of the match. Yuri Sena hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Jânio Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Romero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jânio Tróia came out and tried to block the shot, but Norberto Romero slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Norberto Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEI Rocha's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jânio Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, GAVIÕES F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Tróia having to interfere. Aloísio Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jânio Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Aloísio Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CEI Rocha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Romero in the 45th minute of play forced GAVIÕES F.C's goalkeeper Jânio Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GAVIÕES F.C getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Giuseppe Proença hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aloísio Vaz got free with Jânio Tróia in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Romero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The CEI Rocha fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when CEI Rocha's Aloísio Vaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in GAVIÕES F.C's zone, Aloísio Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Tróia came out of the goal and Aloísio Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CEI Rocha's Aloísio Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. GAVIÕES F.C's David Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Norberto Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEI Rocha's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jânio Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jânio Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Aloísio Vaz made a precise shot to the right of Jânio Tróia. GAVIÕES F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to CEI Rocha getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Luizinho Koehler hit a great ball. Vinícius Tróia made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Hermes in the 86th minute. Luizinho Koehler might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jânio Tróia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizinho Koehler ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CEI Rocha fully deserved thier win.
