The tension between the Dragões Azuis FC and the Itabapoana SP players grew even worse after the yellow card. 5 minutes into the game, one of Dragões Azuis FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dragões Azuis FC:s Valdo Perez showed great skill when he stopped Válbson Cosme:s penalty. In the 12th minute Davi Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Dragões Azuis FC defense, Jerônimo Favoretto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdo Perez. The Dragões Azuis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdo Perez should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Valdo Perez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Marinho in the 22nd minute of play forced Dragões Azuis FC's goalkeeper Valdo Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerônimo Favoretto took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdo Perez. Valdo Perez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Valdo Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Palmeira in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Jerônimo Favoretto made a precise shot to the right of Valdo Perez. Dragões Azuis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. With an all-out effort, Dragões Azuis FC's Josué Macedo threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cléber Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Josué Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Davi Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Dragões Azuis FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itabapoana SP were winning 1-4.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerônimo Favoretto to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jerônimo Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragões Azuis FC's goalkeeper Valdo Perez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Davi Palmeira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valdo Perez firmly grabbed it by the left post. 65 minutes into the match, Dragões Azuis FC's goalkeeper Valdo Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerônimo Favoretto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerônimo Favoretto got free with Valdo Perez in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Dragões Azuis FC's Cleiton Guerra got a free kick in the 77th minute. Jerônimo Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Perez having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Cléber Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Macedo. Itabapoana SP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. Valdo Perez made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jerônimo Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Itabapoana SP defense, Cléber Porto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josué Macedo. The Itabapoana SP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josué Macedo should have stopped the shot.
