The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hudson Perez came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by GAVIÕES F.C's Giuseppe Proença. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Proença quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Proença in the 10th minute of play forced Bar Sem Lona's goalkeeper Hudson Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, David Hermes made a precise shot to the right of Hudson Perez. Bar Sem Lona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Hudson Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Hermes went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. If David Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Toninho Reis in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GAVIÕES F.C's Giuseppe Proença. In the 30th match minute, Bar Sem Lona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Abreu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrézinho Berger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jânio Tróia. That made the score 1-4 in the 41 minute of play. When Andrézinho Berger came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Bar Sem Lona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Berger couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, GAVIÕES F.C's goalkeeper Jânio Tróia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrézinho Berger. With his leg Jânio Tróia managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Bar Sem Lona's Andrézinho Berger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Andrézinho Berger struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jânio Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bar Sem Lona. Jânio Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. David Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hudson Perez made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when David Hermes sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as David Hermes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hudson Perez. That made the score 1-5 in the 73 minute of play. In the 76th minute, Giuseppe Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Frederico de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GAVIÕES F.C's protests and gave Frederico de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes GAVIÕES F.C got a freekick which was hit by Frederico de Andrade. When Toninho Reis fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After recieving a nice pass, GAVIÕES F.C's David Hermes tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Naldo Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Andrézinho Berger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jânio Tróia was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Jânio Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrézinho Berger's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, GAVIÕES F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Berger came free, but Jânio Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Hermes came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hudson Perez could save by the left post. 96 minutes into the match, Bar Sem Lona's goal looked a bit too open when David Hermes came free, but Hudson Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bar Sem Lona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GAVIÕES F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
