Dito do Valle hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Breno Camargo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wiliam Hoffmann. Soneca AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match, Valdo Rosado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josué Macedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 56th minute, Itabapoana SP's Jerônimo Favoretto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wiliam Hoffmann. Wiliam Hoffmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Perez in the 61st minute of play forced Itabapoana SP's goalkeeper Josué Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Soneca AC fully deserved thier win.
