Luiz Fabiano Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Dionísio in the 8th minute of the match. Nestor Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renatinho Vianna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guanandi's zone, Renatinho Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Severo came out of the goal and Renatinho Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guanandi's Telmo Ramalho was substituted for Roberto Meira. 61 minutes into the match, Pureza FC's Júlio Fantini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinho Severo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erivaldo Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Pureza FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
