Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Adalberto Cruz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Victor Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Vale. FC fura's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Armandinho Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Roberto Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, S.E.Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Veloso came free, but Ettore Pennetta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ettore Pennetta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Roberto Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafu das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Armandinho Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Roberto Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.Palmeiras. Victor Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Vale having to interfere. After a rather tough play, S.E.Palmeiras's Ulysses Varela got a free kick in the 38th minute. FC fura's Douglas Ramos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for S.E.Palmeiras. Ettore Pennetta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Veloso in the 48th minute of play forced S.E.Palmeiras's goalkeeper Ettore Pennetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC fura's Raí Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, FC fura's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Silveira came free, but Roberto Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Adalberto Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Pennetta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalberto Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adalberto Cruz in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ettore Pennetta saved S.E.Palmeiras from getting behind. Luís Fábio Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Cruz in the 76th minute of play forced S.E.Palmeiras's goalkeeper Ettore Pennetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.Palmeiras's zone, Adalberto Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ettore Pennetta came out of the goal and Adalberto Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.E.Palmeiras's Ettore Pennetta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Cruz in the 83rd minute of play. After 86 minutes of play, S.E.Palmeiras's Victor Silveira made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Armandinho Alvarenga fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.Palmeiras's protests and gave Armandinho Alvarenga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to S.E.Palmeiras getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Armandinho Alvarenga hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC fura's zone, Armandinho Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Vale came out of the goal and Armandinho Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.E.Palmeiras were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC fura for a fine match.
