When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Adalberto Cruz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Laerte Amorim to make any attempt to save it. If Gildo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Gildo Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Vale. FC fura's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Adalberto Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Amorim having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Adalberto Cruz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laerte Amorim. The goal made the score 2-1. 33 minutes into the match, MILLENNYUM RACING's goalkeeper Laerte Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fábio Veloso. If Luís Fábio Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes MILLENNYUM RACING got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Nogueira. In the 42nd minute, MILLENNYUM RACING's Lauro Trancoso seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lauro Trancoso the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MILLENNYUM RACING protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lauro Trancoso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MILLENNYUM RACING! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adalberto Cruz made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Veloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Laerte Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 59 minutes, Adalberto Cruz made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. MILLENNYUM RACING's Laerte Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to MILLENNYUM RACING getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Paulão Leite hit a great ball. Adalberto Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Laerte Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Cruz took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Amorim. Laerte Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Luís Fábio Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Laerte Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vânderson Galvão got free with Roberto Vale in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laerte Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Gildo Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gildo Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MILLENNYUM RACING getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gildo Teixeira hit a great ball. Cafu das Neves missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 87 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Laerte Amorim right hand side. If Adalberto Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Luís Fábio Veloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MILLENNYUM RACING's Laerte Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vânderson Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
