The wind increased when Fernando Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tancredo Zamudio in the 51st minute of play. Fellipe Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Claudinho Severo made a huge save. After 60 played minutes Guanandi got a freekick which was hit by Cléber de Azevedo. Guanandi's Telmo Ramalho was substituted for Roberto Meira. After 62 played minutes Guanandi got a freekick which was hit by Cléber de Azevedo. Telmo Ramalho hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Botelho got free with Claudinho Severo in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Telmo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Rio Tavares Esporte Clube echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Guanandi had held the ball for most of the match.
