Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edvaldo Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldão Cabral to make the kick off. Pedrão Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Vitinho Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Luiz Fabiano Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovani Tinoco during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Badajos's Geovani Tinoco got a free kick in the 64th minute. Edvaldo Madureira was a little too slow when Nestor Paiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Vitinho Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badajos's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fabiano Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nestor Paiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edvaldo Madureira came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Paiva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Geovani Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fabiano Furlan was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Pureza FC's Luiz Fabiano Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Travassos in the 76th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 88th minute Horácio Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
