After 19 minutes of play, FC fura's Luís Fábio Veloso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvaldo Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geovani Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitinho Travassos struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Roberto Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The FC fura fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Vale should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Cafu das Neves took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Edvaldo Madureira to make any attempt to save it.
