In the 5th match minute, Pureza FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Negri to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Pureza FC booed when Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renatinho Vianna scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Tinoco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot by Felippe Vinhas from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Jaime Tinoco's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luiz Fabiano Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nestor Paiva made a kick off. Giovanni Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Luiz Fabiano Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Benê Fantini put in a rough tackle. Felippe Vinhas shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 66th minute, Júlio Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Tinoco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Pureza FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Giovanni Pitta scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Fabiano Furlan, making the score, 2-1. In the 77th minute, Clóvis Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pureza FC's Nestor Paiva got a free kick in the 79th minute. Pureza FC's Luiz Fabiano Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Pitta in the 81st minute of play. The Pureza FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
