Rafael Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Abstergo's Eduardo Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Abstergo from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Roger de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Fonseca in the 32nd minute of the match. If Luiz Fernando Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute José Pedro Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Abstergo's Eduardo Toledo got control of the ball when Rafinha Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Rafinha Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Eduardo Toledo made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulão Lara was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Fernando Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gernando Prado hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Loureiro in the 60th minute of play forced Paragua SS's goalkeeper Roger de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Abstergo getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Artur de Mendonça hit a great ball. The supporters of Paragua SS booed when Abstergo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes, Paragua SS's Duarte Arósio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Toledo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paragua SS reached it. After 71 played minutes Abstergo got a freekick which was hit by Zé Nóbrega. When Vicente Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Abstergo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Eduardo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 77th minute, Rubens Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Paragua SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Abstergo getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Zé Nóbrega hit a great ball. Eduardo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Paragua SS had won after a very even match.
