Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wanderson Freire took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 played minutes, Betania's João Vítor Vides shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Medeiros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Betania reached it. If Roberto Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Meirelles's late challenge caught a Betania's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Meirelles helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes FC Dynamo 88 got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Meirelles. In the 9th minute of the match João Vítor Vides shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Acácio Medeiros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FC Dynamo 88's Francisco Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Passos struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Baltazar Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dynamo 88. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Sanches in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Nóbrega saved Betania from getting behind. Roberto Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Acácio Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson Freire struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Acácio Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Betania. José da Silveira hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Betania's Baltazar Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Passos in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, FC Dynamo 88's goalkeeper Acácio Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Peres. Baltazar Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Saraiva got free with Acácio Medeiros in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rony Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Baltazar Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Rony Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Baltazar Nóbrega was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Sanches made a kick off. Roberto Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Medeiros having to interfere. Baltazar Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Sanches in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Roberto Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Dynamo 88's zone, Wanderson Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acácio Medeiros came out of the goal and Wanderson Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Fellipe Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 played minutes Betania got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Freitas. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Rony Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dynamo 88's supporters rose to their feet, but Rony Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Francisco Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Elano Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Medeiros having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, FC Dynamo 88's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Freire came free, but Acácio Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
