Roger de Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 17 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas do Flame's goalkeeper Jaime dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafinha Paraíba. The Clube de Regatas do Flame fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Clube de Regatas do Flame's Pedro Luís Toscano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roger de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luís Toscano in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger de Castro saved Paragua SS from getting behind. In the 34thth minute of the game Pedro Luís Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paragua SS's Roger de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Luís Toscano in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Luís Toscano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger de Castro having to make a save. Clube de Regatas do Flame's Álvaro Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Toscano in the 45th minute of play. Roger de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Toscano's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Álvaro Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Regatas do Flame's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Jano Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Guedes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A collision led to Paragua SS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rafinha Paraíba hit a great ball. Roger de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Toscano in the 94th minute of the match. Clube de Regatas do Flame's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
