Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ernani Ribeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Manuel Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elano Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Betania getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Elano Peres hit a great ball. The Golden Boys fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Golden Boys's Manuel Goiano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ernani Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Nóbrega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilton Rosado during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wilton Rosado hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Roberto Saraiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Mandrak. Golden Boys's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Saraiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ciro Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Freire in the 19th minute of play. Baltazar Nóbrega made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Manuel Goiano sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute Ernani Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Goiano in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baltazar Nóbrega, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Betania's zone, Ernani Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Nóbrega came out of the goal and Ernani Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Golden Boys were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Betania's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gerson de Brito took the corner. Golden Boys's Gerson de Brito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baltazar Nóbrega in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 42 played minutes Betania got a freekick which was hit by Elano Peres. After a defensive mix-up in Betania's zone, Manuel Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Nóbrega came out of the goal and Manuel Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Tróia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltazar Nóbrega was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 46 minutes into the match, Betania's goalkeeper Baltazar Nóbrega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Goiano. Elano Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wanderson Freire was the one to do the kick off. Enio Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Gerson de Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baltazar Nóbrega. Betania's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 56th minute Cássio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilton Rosado was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Betania booed when Golden Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Freire in the 59th minute of play. Golden Boys's Ciro Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Freire in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Roberto Saraiva notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Golden Boys's Ciro Mandrak. Ciro Mandrak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Ernani Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltazar Nóbrega was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. With a little luck, Golden Boys's Ciro Mandrak got control of the ball when Roberto Saraiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltazar Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ciro Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Freitas in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Wanderson Freire recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ciro Mandrak. Wanderson Freire showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Gerson de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Saraiva got free with Ciro Mandrak in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 96 minutes on the clock, Gerson de Brito commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 97th match minute, Golden Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson de Brito to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Betania had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
