A collision led to Clube de Regatas do Flame getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ruy Alves hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Baltazar Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime dos Santos. Clube de Regatas do Flame's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jano Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. When Clube de Regatas do Flame's Pedro Luís Toscano in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 25thth minute of the game Renan Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube de Regatas do Flame's Jaime dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Luís Toscano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erasmo Azevedo. That made the score 1-3 in the 34 minute of play. Erasmo Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luís Toscano in the 37th minute. Caio Prado's Vito Fontes got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Vito Fontes off the ground. After 42 played minutes Caio Prado got a freekick which was hit by Vito Fontes. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltazar Amaral in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erasmo Azevedo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube de Regatas do Flame's Pedro Luís Toscano. But to his dismay, Pedro Luís Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-4. A collision led to Clube de Regatas do Flame getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ruy Alves hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Silveira in the 87th minute of play forced Caio Prado's goalkeeper Erasmo Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, Caio Prado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Amaral to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Caio Prado's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Toscano came free, but Erasmo Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Jano Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Vítor Nóbrega hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Caio Prado players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clube de Regatas do Flame.
