In the 22ndth minute of the game Ernani Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lucas Juniors's Dário Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Ribeiro in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dário Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Pinheiro in the 29th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Ernani Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lucas Juniors's Dário Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Lucas Juniors defense, Wilton Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dário Saldanha. The Lucas Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dário Saldanha should have stopped the shot. Orlando Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Lucas Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Sergipano. In the 63rd match minute, Lucas Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Ernani Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The attack was good, but when Ernesto Pinheiro in the 66th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ernesto Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dário Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Ernesto Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Dário Saldanha. Lucas Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The audience was convinced that Ernani Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Saldanha was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Pinheiro in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Saldanha saved Lucas Juniors from getting behind. 84 minutes into the game, Ernesto Pinheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Dário Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Golden Boys's attentive Wilton Rosado managed to snatch the ball when João da Mata made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. Dário Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilton Rosado went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Zé Carlos Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos Cordeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dário Saldanha having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the Golden Boys players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
