An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Sarmento in the 44th minute of play forced Pacui's goalkeeper Falcão Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pacui's Zé Ribeiro got a free kick in the 45th minute. Guaratiba FC's Silas Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A hard shot 58 in the game by Conrado Sarmento from a close distance when the talented Falcão Favoretto managed to make a qualified save. Pacui's players were relieved. Pacui's Falcão Favoretto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Pacui from getting a goal against them.
